Account Payable Specialist

Department: Accounting & Payroll
Location: Kennesaw, GA

DO NOT APPLY is you do not meet these requirements - 3 consecutive years of AP experience in Healthcare.

  • Oversee the entire AP process, from invoice processing and verification to payment processing and reconciliation.
  • Manage and reconcile purchase card transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy.
  • Accurately assign accounting codes to vendor invoices, expense reports and purchase cards, ensuring proper financial reporting and record-keeping.
  • Process and verify incoming invoices and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors through checks and ACH transfers, as well as handle payment inquiries.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating terms and addressing issues.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards and prepare for audits.
  • Analyze accounts payable data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for cost savings.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field a plus
  • Previous accounts payable experience preferred

Required Skills & Qualities:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, particularly as they relate to accounts payable.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger coding for invoices and expenses

This will be a on-site position in Kennesaw GA
